Senior Finance Officer – Bolton, Paying up to £44,000

Are you confident with ledgers, reconciliations and payroll? Ready for a new challenge? A respected manufacturing firm in Bolton is recruiting for a hands-on Senior Finance Officer to keep its finance operations running smoothly. With a team member relocating, this is a great chance to step into a key role and take real ownership across AP, AR and payroll. Fantastic benefits! Great team!

Duties will include:

• Overseeing Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
• Manage cashflow forecasting and weekly payment runs
• Lead credit control
• Prepare monthly journals & Balance Sheet reconciliations 
• Process payroll with the payroll provider
• Support and develop junior finance staff
• Assist with year-end audit and finance projects

What you’ll bring:

• Experience in a finance role, such as a Financial Accountant
• Strong accounting knowledge and attention to detail
• Confident communication skills
• Solid IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Organised, proactive, able to work independently

Nice to have:

• ACCA/ACA/CIMA (qualified, part‑qualified or QBE)
• Experience with Sage Line 50
